I recently purchased an Esteve classical guitar, with a cedar/carbon fiber top from Guitars from Spain that out performs so many handmade guitars, and paid 1/2 of the price that you would pay for a handmade Spanish guitar. The tone, sustain and balance of that guitar are just about as great as you can get.
