About the Requinto Guitar
The Requinto guitar is tuned a fifth higher (A) than a standard guitar and is widely used in trios, quartets, and guitar orchestras for lead melodies, improvisation, and solo performances. Many guitarists also enjoy playing classical repertoire on the Requinto due to its smaller size (540mm scale length) and comfortable neck profile. It is also an excellent travel companion or practice instrument for intricate pieces.
