Manuel Adalid Model 12 – Handmade Spanish Concert Guitar

The Manuel Adalid Model 12 is a meticulously handcrafted classical guitar by Francisco Esteve Guitars in Valencia, Spain. It belongs to Esteve’s distinguished Professional Series, which includes celebrated models such as the 11, Adalid, Torres, Lacote, and Hauser.

This concert-level instrument features a tight-grain Canadian Western Red Cedar top paired with striking Granadillo back and sides, known for their rich natural hues of red, brown, and purple.

The Ebony fingerboard and African Mahogany neck are reinforced with ebony for added strength and tonal stability,  complemented by a green rosewood binding, all finished with a stunning nitrocellulose lacquer for optimal resonance and elegance.

The medium action setup (3.25 mm) paired with Savarez Crystal Red (normal-medium tension) strings ensures a smooth and responsive feel, making it comfortable even for players with smaller hands. The Carbon Fiber harmonic bars integrated into the bracing system give the guitar a bold, resonant sound while maintaining a sublime sensitivity and dynamic expression.

One of the standout features of the Model 12 is its signature headstock design, a refined hallmark of Spanish tradition that exudes character and class.

Included accessories:

  • Cibeles Semi-Hard/Hard Shell Case

  • 1 set of Savarez Red HT/NT classical strings

  • Ultimate Guitar Protector (UGP)

  • Humitron Humidifier

  • Guitar Cloth

The Manuel Adalid Model 12 is ideal for advanced and professional players seeking a concert-grade nylon-string guitar. Guitars of this caliber often command significantly higher prices, yet this model offers exceptional value and craftsmanship. Each instrument in Esteve’s Professional Series is personally signed by Manuel Adalid, a mark of authenticity and a testament to its high-end handmade quality. Since 1957, Francisco Esteve Guitars has been known for producing some of the finest Spanish guitars, blending traditional lutherie with modern innovation and unmatched attention to detail.

Note: Due to the unique grain patterns of Granadillo (Dalbergia), each guitar is visually distinct. Feel free to contact us with any questions or to request photos of currently available instruments.
