The Manuel Adalid model 12 Cocobolo belongs to the professional series including models 11, Adalid, Torres, Lacote, and Hauser. The M. A. model 12  Cocobolo features a tight grain- German Spruce top, *Cocobolo back & sides, Ebony fingerboard, African Mahogany neck reinforced with an ebony bar for the guitar’s longevity and tone stability, green rosewood binding, and a sublime nitrocellulose finish. The action is medium (3.25mm), with a” Savarez Crystal Red” normal-medium tension strings, providing a very conformable and soft neck profile even for the smaller hands. The Manuel Adalid Model 12 Cocobolo is a very powerful instrument, however sensitive-sublime and gorgeous guitar to your eyes and ears, due to the Cocobolo colors spectrum in brown, red, and purple. The most noticeable detail on model 12, is the headstock design, demarking a unique elegant Spanish trademark. Thanks to the Carbon Fiber harmonic bars, and new technology, the guitar feels and sounds robust. *Cocobolo is the commonly used name of the famous Central American treed Dalbergia retusa and is also known under the names Mexican Rosewood and Central American Rosewood. What makes Cocobolo interesting is that its internal wood structure comes in a wide array of colors, ranging from black, brown, and purple, to brighter hues such as red, orange, and even yellow. It’s sapwood that contains many useful oils that give Cocobolo a unique smell and its aroma is usually pale yellow.
