Mr. Ruck comments... Ed, this is my #21 guitar, it was made for Bill Pope in 1969. I last heard from Bill some years ago and he was living in Pompano Beach according to a telephone message he left me. Indeed it is a Flamenco Blanca in the style of the great Spanish makers Barbero, Domingo Esteso and Santos Hernandez whose work I was quite familiar. I did live in Miami where I built guitars up to 1973…. I wish you well and much enjoyment of your guitar….Robert Ruck
The 1970 Robert Ruck Flamenco Blanca is in GREAT good condition. It has a very responsive spruce board, perfect straight fingerboard, and neck, warm and balanced sound with strong fundamental tone. The guitar is very light and low action with an impeccable neck profile. The pliability of the instrument is just superb. The 1970 Ruck has been lightly restored by Luthier Jorge de Sofia. The saddle has been rerouted, six holes have been added to the saddle for better string angle and tone strength. The bone has been replaced. The guitar has been kept in ideal conditions for the last 30 years. The 1970 Robert Ruck Flamenco Blanca comes with its original hard shell case, the case is in mint condition.
